The VeggieWonder® is the latest innovation from KA-Process. This system uses a state-of-the-art process for the ultra-fine grinding of frozen raw ingredients. Without prior thawing, the ingredients are fed directly into the process and continuously processed in several steps to create purees with structure, right down to a particularly fine puree.

IQF Drops (untreated refreezing)
The VeggieWonder® enables precise fine grinding at temperatures around 0 °C, resulting in a fine puree. This puree serves as an ideal base for IQF Drops, for example.
Thanks to the IQF process, the drops remain free-flowing, making them ideal for portioning and flexible use. Whether as an ingredient in smoothies, muesli, yoghurt or baked goods – the frozen drops offer a simple and practical way of integrating high-quality ingredients into a wide variety of foods.
Hpp High-Pressure Pasteurization
By using high pressure instead of heat, the puree can be gently preserved without affecting the taste, nutrients or natural freshness. This method enables a longer shelf life and a wide range of applications – whether for sauces, smoothies, baby food or plant-based products. With the VeggieWonder® you create the perfect basis for high-quality further processing.
Pasteurization via Heating
Targeted heat treatment gently preserves the puree by reducing microorganisms and increasing product safety. This method is particularly suitable for applications such as sauces, soups, fruit preparations or plant-based alternatives. Spray Drying / Freeze Drying
The puree can be converted into powder form, making it longer lasting, easy to transport and versatile – ideal for instant products, food supplements or convenience products.
Fermentation
Through the targeted use of microorganisms, the puree can be fermented to improve taste, nutrient content and shelf life. Particularly interesting for plant-based yogurt alternatives, fermented sauces or vegan cheese products.
Emulsification / Homogenization
To achieve a particularly creamy, uniform texture, the puree can be emulsified or homogenized. This is used for drinks, sauces or milk alternatives.
Functionality
The VeggieWonder® is a state-of-the-art system that has been specially developed for the production of fine purees from frozen vegetables and fruit. It uses an innovative process in which the frozen raw ingredients are processed directly and without prior defrosting.
The raw goods, which have already been washed, pre-shredded and frozen, are first poured into a screw conveyor via a container. This reliably transports the goods to a feed pump, which forwards the material to the ultra-fine shredding system. Here, the fruit and vegetables are continuously processed into a particularly fine puree.
The finished product is then filled into mobile 200-liter standard trolleys via a changeover rocker. The temperature of the end product always remains within the specified cold chain temperature range. Thanks to precise temperature control, which consists of two separate heating zones, the temperature control can be individually adjusted to ensure optimum processing.
The VeggieWonder® operates fully automatically and therefore offers an efficient, consistently high-quality and user-friendly solution for the production of frozen purees.

Cost Savings
Cold grinding enables significant cost savings through improved resource utilization and the reduction of process steps. By eliminating the need to sort out product waste such as seeds, leaves or stalks – for example in the case of strawberries or parsley – waste is avoided, which brings financial benefits.
You also save time and space, as the raw ingredients do not need to be defrosted. Further savings result from the elimination of time-consuming work steps such as pre-cooking and sieving during fruit processing. The elimination of mandatory pasteurization, thanks to the continuous cold chain, also contributes to more efficient and cost-effective production.

By dispensing with defrosting, the entire production process becomes more efficient and flexible. Raw materials can be fed directly into the production process without the need for additional intermediate storage. This not only reduces space requirements, but also significantly shortens throughput times. Time-consuming steps such as pre-cooking and sieving are no longer necessary, which further streamlines the process and increases efficiency.
These simplified processes enable fast and flexible order planning, so that even last-minute orders can be processed quickly. Thanks to the uninterrupted cold chain, product quality is maintained without the need for additional pasteurization. The result is a fast yet gentle process that reduces both production costs and energy consumption.
Quality of the End Product
Cold grinding leads to a significant improvement in product quality and at the same time enables resource-saving production. Even less attractive raw materials, such as uneven carrots or overripe fruit, can be processed to produce high-quality purees. In addition, B and C goods, which are otherwise often treated as waste, can be used efficiently and transformed into first-class end products.
The end product is characterized by a homogeneous consistency, free of unwanted pieces of fruit or vegetables. Thanks to the elimination of defrosting, the quality, aroma and vitamins are largely retained. At the same time, in many cases there is no need for additional colorants, as the products retain their natural color intensity. The fine grinding also ensures an intense taste experience, as the raw materials are optimally broken down. All these factors result in an end product that is not only of high quality, but also has a convincing taste.
Sustainability and resource conservation
Cold milling makes a significant contribution to sustainable production by using raw materials efficiently and minimizing waste. Even when processing leaves and seeds, for example – which are traditionally considered waste – the entire plant is put to good use. This reduces the amount of waste and increases resource efficiency. In addition, this technology enables the valorization of raw materials that would otherwise have little use, such as less optimal vegetables or overripe fruit. This not only promotes the conservation of resources, but also the sustainable use of agricultural products, which are thus upgraded for further processing.
Product and Machine Safety
As the raw ingredients are processed deep-frozen, the risk of microbial contamination remains low throughout the entire process. This significantly increases product safety. Maintaining the cold chain throughout ensures that the end product is always processed within safe temperature ranges.
